Ncrkhabar@Bhiwadi/Keonjhar : Odia cinema superstar Babushaan Mohanty inaugurated the Manoj Das Library at Utkal Gaurav International School in Berunapadi, Soso, Keonjhar, on Thursday. The library has been established in honour of renowned Odia writer and thinker Manoj Das and aims to encourage reading, curiosity and independent thinking among rural students.
The initiative is a philanthropic effort of Eugenix Hair Sciences and is intended to connect students with Odisha’s rich literary and cultural heritage.
The inauguration marks another milestone in the remarkable journey of Utkal Gaurav International School. The school, which began more than a decade ago in a humble thatched hut with a vision of providing quality education to rural children, has now grown into an English-medium school serving more than 450 students from underprivileged communities.
Inspired by the teachings of Paramahansa Yogananda, the school follows the philosophy of “Efficiency with Spiritual Values.” Its educational approach combines modern academic learning with values such as discipline, empathy, character and a sense of purpose.
During his visit, Babushaan Mohanty interacted with students and encouraged them to read extensively, remain curious and pursue their ambitions with confidence. His interaction with the students turned the library inauguration into a memorable occasion for the young learners.
Speaking at the event, Dr. Pradeep Sethi, Co-Founder and Chairman of Eugenix Hair Sciences and Founder Managing Trustee of Utkal Gaurav Foundation, recalled the school’s journey from a thatched hut to its present form.
He said that the school was founded on the belief that every child, irrespective of their background or location, deserves access to quality education. He also highlighted the transformative power of books and expressed hope that the new library would become a place where students develop dreams, ask questions and create lasting memories.
Babushaan Mohanty said he was honoured to inaugurate the Manoj Das Library. He appreciated the enthusiasm of the students and said their eagerness to learn and build a better future was inspiring. He also praised Dr. Pradeep Sethi’s efforts to create opportunities for children from rural communities.
From a Thatched Hut to a School for 450+ Students
Utkal Gaurav International School began with limited resources and a simple mission—to provide quality education to children in rural Odisha. Over the years, the initiative has expanded significantly and now provides English-medium education to more than 450 students from underprivileged communities.
The Manoj Das Library is expected to further strengthen the school’s academic environment by giving students access to books and encouraging a culture of reading and learning.
